The Chandler Clinic - August Newsletter

August Newsletter 2014

Dear Visitor,

We have had an exciting month, seeing the improvements in the skin of our happy clients who are committed to Osmosis.

Tracy has been amazed at the difference that Catalyst AC-11 makes to her own and her clients skin. She often talks of an anonymous client who was booked for biopsies of suspicious lesions that cleared up with Catalyst AC-11, testament to its approval as a device to 'prevent skin cancer and treat skin lesions'.  She also is still nagging clients and us about sunblock! Hard to believe with so little sun around but as she keeps reminding us UV gets through the clouds especially in NZ!

It makes us happy when you're happy so please let us know, anonymously or not, and by email, phone or post, how we can improve your experience.

Best wishes,

The Chandler Clinic team.

This month...

We are focusing on Skin Lesions

I often get asked to "look at this thing on my skin doctor". That 'thing or lesion' can also be called, by patients, anything from red/brown/age/beauty spots, pigmentation, spider veins, broken capillaries, flaky skin, lumps, bumps, moles or freckles. The definition of a skin lesion is 'a part of the skin that has an abnormal growth or appearance compared to the skin around it'. There are numerous illnesses that can cause skin 'things' including skin cancer (of which there are various different types), pre-skin cancer, lentigo's, actinic keratosis, telangiectasia, eczema, etc, etc. The list goes on and so it is important that you see someone medically trained to diagnose and also ideally treat your skin 'thing'-who knows, it could be melanoma.
See Tracy's latest column for more information on causes, diagnosis, prevention and solutions. Read more here...

Keep safe in the sun

Excessive sun exposure is clearly linked to skin cancer. In addition sunbed exposure doubles your risk of skin cancer. As well as following the NZ Sun Smart campaign SLIP, SLOP, SLAP and WRAP, the best type of sunscreen is a natural sunblock like Osmosis 'Shade'. In addition Osmosis Catalyst plus and Catalyst AC-11 medical serums (skin creams) are patented as to prevent skin cancer and treat skin lesions.
